BIOGRAPHY

Obeng Owusu-Boateng was born and bread in Bimbilla on 17th August, 1992. He attended his Nursery Education at Little Flower Day Nursery in Bimbilla, proceeded to Our Lady of Peace Primary and JHS for his basic Education where he served as Asst. School prefect both at the primary and JHS. After his BECE he got a distinction of Aggregate 7 and got placed at Tamale Senior High School (Tamasco) from 2009 to 2013 where he read General Science.

Due to his leadership qualities and passion to serve people, he was made the Library Prefect. He proceeded to University of Education, Winneba from 2014 to 2018 for his first degree in ICT Education. He returned in 2022 to 2023 for his second degree in the department of ICT Education, University of Education, Winneba and graduated with a Research Master's Degree in Computer Education and Technology and his thesis focusing on the topic "Investigating College Tutors' Experiences of Online Instructional Delivery Resources during COVID-19 Pandemic".

Professionally, he is an academic author, ICT educator, researcher, IT specialist and a part-time ICT lecturer at the University for Development Studies, UDS, Institute for Distance and Continued Learning (IDCL). His academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Education & Technology (M.Ed.) and a B.Sc. ICT Education, both from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Additionally, he works as Principal Research Assistant at the Department of Mathematics & ICT Education at the E. P. College of Education, Bimbilla. Ghana. In 2024, he was appointed as the Deputy Director in charge of Research, Innovation and International Collaboration at the E. P. College of Education, Bimbilla.

Mr. Owusu has authored 2 academic Books on Digital Education and AI in Education to his credit and has published over 7 research articles. His research citations as at September 2025 was 21 citations on Google Scholar. He loves to read, watch news, listening to music, watching series and basketball during his leisure time.
